Schive Appointed as Chairman of Taiwan Stock Exchange
Wednesday, 06 August 2008

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has appointed Chi Schive as its chairman to assume responsibility for its strategy and operations. He has been given the responsibility of executing the plan of the Executive Yuan and developing Taipei into an Asia Pacific financial centre.

Schive comments: “We will continue the strides in making our exchange more competitive through continuous market reforms, promoting Taiwan companies listed overseas to return to the exchange for listing; development of new financial products which tailor to market’s needs; and implementation of the new administration’s capital market policy. I believe Taipei will be one of the leading and most prosperous financial cities in Asia and I am committed to seeing this happens."
